Background
Globe Life Field is the home of the Texas Rangers and features seven seating levels and a 5.5-acre retractable roof. The ballpark opened in 2020, with KLA assisting as an integral part of installing the IT equipment for Globe Life Field.
The Solution(s)
KLA deployed and configured the network and Wi-Fi at Globe Life Field, as well as provided IT consulting services and created hardware specifications. KLA engineers provided on-site engineering and support, including switching, interconnection, and backbone facilities, and designed, surveyed, installed, and certified a wireless system of over 1,000 access points. The ballpark’s network is a dynamic segmentation network utilizing Aruba switches and ClearPass. KLA received, pre-staged, and pre-tested Globe Life Field’s equipment and then installed it at the ballpark.
In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Major League Baseball decided to host the 2020 Word Series at Globe Life Field. KLA was onsite during the series to support. In addition, KLA was onsite for Opening Day 2021 at the ballpark.
