Ford Motor Company has relied on KLA for various communication needs for over 80 years, and KLA has been a blanketed Tier-1 Supplier to Ford since 1994. We provide cabling and Cisco network implementation services for Ford throughout North America, including the deployment of switches, routers, wireless access points, controllers, and assorted Unified Communications technologies.
The Solution(s)
KLA supports Ford’s network refresh programs, which involve upgrading 20-50 sites annually, including plant, warehouse, and office building facilities. We also support the implementation of new Data Center network infrastructure at Ford’s new Data Centers.
KLA has over thirty network support personnel (CCNA/CCNP) permanently assigned to Ford in southeast Michigan. Their scope includes network LAN and voice planning, network deployments, and support at over 100 buildings, including its data centers. Ford relies on KLA to assist in setting global standards for wireless surveys, deployments, and certifications.
KLA also installs cellular DAS and emerging 5G technologies at Ford facilities globally. Ford leverages KLA for its Connected Vehicle Program, ensuring in-vehicle communication installations are performed and managed to their specifications and requirements. KLA monitors and maintains the DAS at Ford manufacturing and office locations globally.
