Background
Corewell Health, formerly Beaumont Health, is Michigan’s largest health care system with eight hospitals around the metro-Detroit area. Their hospitals were experiencing weak cellular coverage from all carriers, including capacity issues.
The Solution(s)
KLA designed, procured, installed, commissioned, and completed RF surveys/validated new JMA Wireless DAS systems for all eight hospitals. KLA continues to provide upgrades to multiple Corewell-owned facilities, including upgrading sites to 5G frequencies. We are their preferred DAS integrator for all campuses across Michigan.
KLA currently has a three-year monitoring and maintenance agreement for all eight hospitals’ DAS solutions. KLA provides 24/7 monitoring of the various DAS solutions, including equipment from Corning, JMA Wireless, and CommScope, to keep them running optimally at all times and prevent any long-term outages. Technicians are dispatched to troubleshoot and repair issues as they occur.
